Successful Adswap Tips
Adswaps seem to be the flavour of the month in the internet marketing world. Everywhere you turn people are doing adswaps or are talking about the benefits of doing adswaps. In my opinion this is for a good reason too – they are a great way of generating leads and probably THE single best way I know of growing an opt-in subscriber list quickly.
Pulling off a successful adswap takes some thought however. You need to ensure that you are swapping with the right person and that your offer is right for the market. Here are three tips for a successful adswap that will maximise your chances of dramatically increasing the size of your list:
1. Make sure you both have complementary lists
A good adswap partner is probably operating within the same niche as yourself but is not a direct competitor. In order for an adswap to be successful it is important that you both have complementary lists. You partners subscribers need to be interested in your offer and vice versa.
2. Ensure your offer is top notch
If you want to increase your list size quickly it is imperative that you audience finds your product irresistible. Yes you are going to be giving it away for free but it is crucial that you are offering a product of real quality and substance. Dress it up too so that it looks eye catching and feels professional. The easiest way to do this is to come up with an expensive sounding name (a system or a blueprint)and get some good quality graphics made. The latter will especially increase the perceived value of your product. Remember – if it is something they want and you present it well you’ll get the subscribers.
3. Keep it fair and be honest with your adswap partner
Adswaps are about helping each other, so make sure it stays fair by being completely open with your adswap partner. Ideally you should have lists of a similar size, but if not then mail more than once so that you each reach the same amount of people with your ads. Never lie about the amount of subscribers you have or send the other persons offer to less people than you promised. You can build great relationships with the people you adswap with and earn the opportunity to do deals and JVs with them again and again – don’t miss out on the opportunity!
